Career Diploma
New Learning Resources Online
The New Learning Resources Career Diploma (CD) serves as an alternative to the Standard High School diploma track.  The program is designed to provide students with the skills necessary in making real-life decisions.  Students who complete the Career High School Diploma program will earn a MDE and SACS-CASI accredited diploma.The primary postgraduate goal for these students is junior college, competitive employment, or acceptance into a technical/career training program. 

Students choosing to participate in this course of study must transfer in career/technical credits from an accredited program or complete the requirements for career/technical credits while enrolled with New Learning Resources Online.

New Learning Resources Online will award students credit based on their previous education, GED subtest scores, and vocation completion; however, previous credits are not a requirement for entry into the program.

The New Learning Resources Career Diploma program prepares students for competitive employment and limited post school options including, but not limited to:  community and technical colleges, military, and employment.  A student must earn 24 credits to graduate which include:






All credits earned through the New Learning Resources Standard High School Online Diploma Program (HSSD) may be transferred if the student chooses to change to the Career Diploma Program.  No credits earned through the CD program may be transferred, except for trade credits, if the student chooses to change to the HSSD program.

Career High School Diploma Course Descriptions
New Learning Resources Online (NLRO) is accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). NLRO is the distance learning division of North New Summit School which is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and School Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), and the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE).
