Lessons within the study guide must be mailed to NLRO instructor upon completion of each chapter.
At the beginning of each learning exercise, a point value is listed for students to see all possible points they can earn with the successful completion of the exercise. Once the student mails in an individual chapter from the study guide, a NLRO instructor will review the student’s answers and award the appropriate amount of points the student has earned on each exercise. (Points are taken off for incorrect and incomplete answers.)
The instructor will then mail the chapter back to the student. The student then has the option to rework any questions marked incorrect and re-submit the work to receive more credit.
Once the student has finished a semester’s worth of work in the study guide, and the study guide has been reviewed by the instructor, the instructor will then take all points earned by the student and divide that number by all points possible for that semester. This will give the student a percentage score for that semester.
Students required to take both the 1st and 2nd semesters of a course will end up with two study guide scores. Both scores will be put into the student’s personal profile and factored into the overall course average.
